History
Devprayag (Devaprayga) is a town and Nagar panchayat (township) in Uttarakhand's Tehri Garhwal district. It is the end of the Alaknanda Panch Prayag river (five rivers confluence), where Alaknanda joins Bhagirathi, and the two rivers flow like the Ganges or Ganges. The city is named after the practitioner Dev Sharma (Dev Sharma), who is believed to be lucky enough to glimpse God. It is believed that Lord Rama and King Dasrata once meditated here.
