Gurdwara The Golden Temple is situated in Amritsar, Punjab, India. It is the most important Sikhism spiritual location. The fourth Sikh Guru, Guru Ram Das, finished the construction of the artificial pool that surrounds the gurdwara in 1577.

Wagah Border or Wagah-Attari border is the last Indian area before the Pakistan mainland. It hosts a ceremony where the soldiers of India’s Border Security Force and Pakistan’s Pakistan Rangers march and parade making it among the top tourist attractions in Amritsar. The area is filled with people on both sides celebrating the patriotic vibe.

A historic garden and a memorial, Jallianwala Bagh is one of the highly visited tourist places in Amritsar.  It was built in the memory of those people who died on 13th April 1919 in the bagh.

The 7-acre garden complex is located near the Golden Temple and is visited by many tourists from all corners of the globe. Among the various structures, well is very popular and important. It is said that during the shooting, many people jumped inside the well to save their lives.

One of the oldest tourist destinations in Amritsar is Gobindgarh Fort. Up until 2017, the fort was solely used by the Indian Army and was not accessible to the general public.

A living museum and art gallery are now being created at Gobindgarh Fort. Some of the earliest texts and works of art relating to Sikhism will be kept there. Furthermore, Gobindgarh Fort is home to the renowned Zamzama Cannons.

Designed in the third decade of the twentieth century, it is reminiscent of both the conventional Hindu temple architecture and of the Golden Temple, rising from the middle of a tank in a way similar to the Sikh temple's canopies and central dome. Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya, one of India's finest reformers and political leaders, placed the foundation stone. One of the best-known libraries of Hindu texts

Replacing the Ram Bagh Palace, Maharaja Ranjit Singh Museum in the year 1997 and was built to store the various artefacts and other items of the Maharaja Ranjit Singh which is now regarded as one of the top tourist places in Amritsar.

One of the top places to visit in the museum is the upper level where 6 paintings of the various battles of Maharaja Ranjit Singh are kept for public display. The museum has 2-dome shaped buildings and a big tower making it one of the most picturesque places in Amritsar.

Bhagwan Balmiki Tirath Sthal dates back to the Ramayana era and is the hermitage of St. Valmiki. 16 km west of Choganwan Road is Ram Tirath, which commemorates the heritage of Maharishi Valmiki Ji. There are ancient tanks and many temples in the area. The hut shows where Mata Sita gave birth to Luv & Kush, and there is also a well with a staircase where Mata Sita used to take bath. A four-day fair is always held here on the night of the full moon in November. 

Popularly known as the Jama Masjid, the Khairuddin Mosque is located in the heart of the city. Khairuddin Mosque was built in 1876 by Muhammad Khairuddin and is one of the top tourist places in Amritsar.

The place is of cultural, historical importance and is widely known for its architecture in the Islamic style with various inscriptions on the walls and calligraphy style writing.The mosque was once the place where Shah Attaullah Bukhari waged the war on the Britishers.
