History
Birla Industrial and Technological Museum returns to when the first structure was possessed by the Tagores and Meera Devi. The fourth offspring of Rabindranath Tagore invested a ton of energy of her youth in this structure. Afterward, in the year 1919, this property was auctioned off by Surendranath Tagore to G.D. Birla who then, at that point, changed the structure over to Birla Park. This house was then revamped and recreated by the recruited planners N. Guin and Co. what's more was transformed into what we see it today. Nonetheless, it stayed a unique location and fast approaching characters including Pandit Mohan Malaviya, and Mahatma Gandhi visited the recreation area. In 1956, the then Chief Minister of West Bengal, Dr BC Roy considered building a science exhibition hall in the country to help in the advancement of innovation and industry. Sri GD Birla, who gave over the spot to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru helped him in his thought.
